I find this to be amazing, but I just want to point out that Alastor was a lot more wider than what you drew it as. Doesn't really matter though. I gaped for quite a while at how awesome this looked.
I greatly respect imagination and creativity. When coupled with artistic skill, there is no limit to how good it can get.
I love traditional media too. But I only feel it loss when using textured media, like palette (knife) painting, or Japanese brush painting, highlight textured Oils and Acrylics, etc.
Watercolors, pastels, charcoal, etc are all things that programs like Painter can reproduce amazingly well,right down to the many types of canvas and paper textures, even wood. Photoshop does well in many forms too.
Digital is certainly cleaner and repairing mistakes and choosing a new course is so much easier.
